NQDVRS aims to provide a possible range of crisis intervention, face to face assistance and group programs for victims and perpetrators of domestic and family violence dependent  upon the priorities set by COCAITH

Choosing Safety

NQDVRS will work with the courts, police and clients to assist women and children to stay safe in their home.

Information and Support - Townsville and Mount Isa

Workers provide direct support services.

Community Education - Townsville and Mount Isa

NQDVRS aims to increase knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence to individuals and groups in Townsville and the Northern Region

Court Support - Townsville and Mount Isa

Support is provided in the Magistrates Court for aggrieved persons who have applied for Protection Orders to assist with their safety and provides information for respondents.

For Children - Townsville and Mount Isa

MEN Ter - Townsville

Men Towards Equal Relationships is a group program that can assist men to find solutions to the negative beliefs that cause violence and which prevent them from having safer, respectful, meaningful partnerships.  

SAFE (Stopping Abuse Fathering Effectively) Dads - Townsville

The program is designed for any father over the age of 18 who uses or has used domestic violence.

Fax-Back - Townsville and Mount Isa

Based on a partnership between the North Queensland Domestic Violence Service (NQDVRS) and the Queensland Police Service to provide a better response to Domestic Violence.

Dovetail - based in Townsville

"A consistent, strong and integrated response to violence in the home". (Mayor Tony Mooney, 2007).
